North Ayrshire 200 Meet

COGST had a successful day at the North Ayrshire 200 Meet at Auchenharvie on Sunday 3rd February 2002. The small group of swimmers won 12 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals.

Pictured right, Laura Galbraith took gold in the girls 12 years and under 200 free with Leanne Ross in bronze position. Laura also took gold in the 200 breast and 200 IM and silver in the 200 fly and also won Best Girl in the 12 years and under age group.


	In the boys 15/16 years 200 free, COGST won all three medals with Craig Forrest taking gold, Michael McCue the silver and Adam Carpenter the bronze. Craig won 4 golds and a silver and took the Best Boy in his age group.

Kirstie Muir (far right) took gold in the girls 12 years and under 200 fly in a new club record time (10 years and under) of 2:56.54s. Kirstie also broke the COGST club record for 200 free at this meet.

	Jennifer McKie (left) (13/14 years age group) won a silver medal in the 200 free and bronzes in the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 IM.
Alasdair Reid (right) won gold in the boys 12 years and under 200 fly and took silver in the 200 free. In the girls 13/14 years 200 butterfly Laurie McFarlane won in 2:40.40s to take the John Ryan Cup.
