In an effort to
fundraise money for COGST the club has chosen the
Spree Coupon Book as our fundraiser. The Spree
coupon book is filled with over £2900 worth of
discounts for businesses in the Glasgow area. Some
of the businesses such as Brewster's have £32.00 in
savings alone! Other well known businesses include
K.F.C., Mister Singh's, National Tyres, Odeon
Cinemas, Megabowl, World of Golf and Glasgow Science
Centre to name just a few. By using only a
couple of vouchers you will recoup the £20 cost of
the Coupon book. The best part is that you will not
only save a lot of money but you will also help
support City of Glasgow Swim Team.
This method of
fundraising has proven very successful for schools
and clubs in other parts of the country with some
clubs selling over 400 books. Lets do all we can to
try to reach 500 books for COGST before the end of
November. This could generate as much as £5000 for
the Club. With reference to our financial statement
in the last "News Splash" we need every
member to assist in fundraising.
