TOPIC: New Club Kit
#5
New Club Kit 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 12
Information and pictures of the much anticipated 'new club kit' are on the Tollcross notice board (hopefully Scotstoun too). Please check it out and let us know what you think.

Now is your chance to have your say .....it's you who will be wearing it!

Was great to have a team manager t-shirt and glad to be part of the trial of these. I have worn the team manager top for 2 meets. I thought it was comfortable enough although not too flattering (most likley to be my shape though!!) but most of the swimmers and especially the girls disliked the colours and style of this and commented at both meets - asking if this was going to be their new kit. The top has a label highlighting it is intended for males and something more suitable for either gender may be preferrable. Janice

Pictures / details are really useful, thanks for this.

An old bug bear of mine, but I'll keep trying, I accept the previous point about t-shirts that suit both sexes, but surely all the t-shirts should be the same colour, either predominantly white, or predominantly blue. That way everybody looks the same.
Real Madrid don't play in a mixtiure of colours in the same match.
If we offer a choice of colours the swimmers will turn up with a mix of colours.

The new kit does look good, hopefully there will be a good uptake.

I also trialled the team manager shirt and the only thing I liked about it was the material, very light. I found the style (i.e. high neck) very restricting and when you are at poolside the last thing you want is to be warm. Did not like the colour either and would prefer to see 1 or 2 different styles for choice. My choice would be a style that keeps you cool (i.e. vest style or no collar).

Hi

I agree. Looks good.

My mum likes the team manager top as well, much more lightweight than the white polo.

I like the new kit. Me and my mum were wondering when it will be available for ordering because I need a new bag.

Liane McPherson has one of the new bags at Tollcross, for anyone who would like to see it before ordering. Hopefully we can get a new bag to each pool so whatever pool you are based at you will have the opportunity to view it prior to purchasing.

Your contacts to view the new kit bag at the following pools are :

Scotstoun - Sian Shirley

Drumchapel / Knightswood - Coach Georgena

Springburn - Coach Katy

Hopefully all of the above will have one of the new bags within the next week.

Why are the colours black and blue used for the Glasgow swim team. I like the colours that the Glasgow club uses - aqua and orange- after all we use the Glasgow venues. I think they are nice bright and up-to-dtae. from K.McGallagly
