Bag Packing raises £456 !!(April 2005)

On Saturday (16th) the following swimmers and parents took part in fundraising for the Club by bag packing at ASDA. As there were two swim meets running on the same weekend the turnout was small , however we raised a fantastic £456 and would like to to thank all those who took part for their hard work and support.

Darlington Dolphins Masters Meet(April 2005)

On Sunday 17th April, one of our Masters swimmers, Janice Craig, competed in the Darlington Dolphins 15th Annual Open masters Meet. Janice swam very well and managed to win 1 Gold(100 IM) and 2 Silver (100 Free and 50 Free).

Janice was most pleased with her swim in the 100 f/c as she managed to improve the time she did in the Scottish Championships the previous week by 3 seconds.

Although the only swimmer from north of the border, Janice was made to feel very welcome, and will certainly be competing at this meet in future years.

Scottish Masters Championships 8th-9th April(April 2005)

Although small in numbers, the City of Glasgow team won 16 Gold, 11 Silver and 5 Bronze medals at the Scottish Masters.

Our team consisted of 5 women and 3 men who are now looking forward to the British Masters Championships at Tollcross on 3rd-5th June.

New coach for National Development at Tollcross(April 2005)

Welcome to Andrena Hammond who joined the club recently from Ren96.

Andrena is taking over coaching National Development squad at Tollcross.
