City of Glasgow Swim Team

5 members of COGST's performance squad competed at the British Universities SC Championships in Sheffield at the weekend.

 

Robbie Renwick (Strathclyde) won gold in the 200, 400 and 800 Free and was awarded the Swim of the Meet for his performance in the 200m Free breaking the Scottish Record in a time of 1.43.46.

 

Daniel Scott (Glasgow Caledonian) won gold in the 50m Breaststroke in a time of 27.87, which was a new Championship record, he also won bronze in the 100 Fly and was 4th in the 50 Free.

 

Ian Porteous (Glasgow) won bronze in the 1500 Free and achieved PBs in the 200 and 400 Free.

 

Matthew McCusker (Strathclyde) won bronze in the 200 Fly and was 5th in the 400IM

 

Scott Houston (Glasgow) came 5th and 6th in the finals of the 100 and 50 Free respectively.

 

Well done to all and cogratulations to Robbie for achieving another Scottish Record.
