Scottish National Championships Helpers required

The club has once again been asked, by SASA, to provide helpers (minimum age 10) for the forthcoming Scottish Spring Meet that is being held at Tollcross Leisure Centre on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th January 2010. The helpers are needed to work with the boxes, in which the swimmers place their clothes at the start of each race, at the final sessions only each day.

There is also a need for Chaperones to supervise the children on the poolside at each session. Anyone who volunteers for this must undertake a disclosure check.

The start times are 5.30pm and approximate finish times are 8.15pm each night. I will contact all volunteers nearer the date to give more accurate timings.

PLEASE NOTE THAT, AS IT IS A DIFFICULT TASK TO SUPERVISE THE CHILDREN AND THERE ARE ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF PLACES, NO ONE SHOULD "JUST TURN UP" ON THE DAY, PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE TO BE MADE WITH MYSELF AS POOLSIDE PASSES FOR ALL HELPERS HAVE TO BE PREPARED IN ADVANCE.
