Time Trials - Sunday 28th February 2010

TIME TRIALS

Tollcross Leisure Centre

Sunday 28th February

Warm up 5pm, start 5.15pm, finish 7.00pm (approx).

The club will be running Time Trials on Sunday 28th February from 5pm until 7pm at Tollcross Leisure Centre.

This will provide a competitive opportunity for swimmers to get timed for the first time or to improve their times in order to gain entry to more competitions.

Due to limitations on lane space it is open to all swimmers in Transition, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Senior Squads only.

Swimmers in these squads from all COGST pools i.e. Scotstoun, Knightswood, Drumchapel, Springburn, Tollcross may come along.

The event list will be as follows:

Event 1- 50m Butterfly or Breaststroke
Event 2- 100m Backstroke
Event 3- 50m Freestyle
Event 4- 100m Breaststroke
Event 5- 50m Backstroke
Event 6- 100m Butterfly
Event 7- 200m Individual Medley
Event 8- 100m Freestyle

Swimmers can swim two events. The heats will be arranged on the night.

We will be running more Time Trials throughout the season when we will cover other strokes and distances.

All swimmers should bring a spare towel and T shirt to dry off and keep warm between swims.

To ensure all swimmers are able to be timed we will need some parents to help on poolside as timekeepers. We will also be running a Swim Shop at Time Trials where you will have the opportunity to buy Club Kit.

Please note that there will be no Sunday evening training for any squads at Tollcross or Scotstoun on this date.

N.B. We realise that there is a Mini League heat at the same time, but we felt it was important to continue with the Time Trials as scheduled for those not competing in the Mini League.
